VISIT TO PUNJAB AND SIND BANK

The students of M.A. Economics from Khalsa College, Amritsar visited Punjab and Sind Bank on 24^th August, 2018 under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Mehal Singh. The students were accompanied by their teacher Dr. (Mrs.) Saveeta from P.G. Department of Economics. The purpose of the visit was to apprise the students about the practical working of Banks. The Chief Manager of the Bank, S. Chiranjeev Singh welcomed the students. He introduced them to the working of cash department of the bank. Students were also told about the clearing system, various types of deposits and their differences, types of loans and advances and other services being provided by banks. The working of public sector banks versus private sector banks was also discussed. The students rose some queries also which were answered satisfactorily by the bank staff.
