Online certificate program “Basic Techniques in Molecular Biology” was conducted from 1st May to 10th May 2021 by the P.G.dept. of Biotechnology in association with Makeintern in partnership with IIT Kharagpur. The program presented a blend of lecture series and hands on training sessions on important Molecular Biology Techniques. Laboratory activities included Nucleic Acid extraction, quantification, Blotting techniques and Polymerase Chain Reaction. A dedicated session delivered in detail the methodology for the diagnosis of COVID-19 by performing RT-PCR test.
