A field trip of the 44 students of M.Sc. Botany, Khalsa College Amritsar was conducted in the month of March, 2019 to Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh. Dalhousie is a hill station in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh bearing pleasant to temperate conditions with an average annual temperature of 15oC. It is situated at an elevation of 1,970 meters above sea level and has located at 32.53°N 75.98°E. The summer season is rainier than the winters having average rainfall of 2237 mm. During the field trip the students visited Kalatop, Khajjiar, Panchpulaand studied more than 200 plant species of angiosperms, cryptogams, gymnosperms in their natural habitat. The students have also collected the plant specimens and identified those using taxonomic keys and floras. Students have also compiled field study reports. The plant specimens and reports were submitted to the departmental herbarium, Khalsa College Amritsar.
