PG Department of Botany, Khalsa College Amritsar bags 7 trophies in Bhai Vir Singh Flower & Plants show organized by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar

Guru Nanak Dev University organized its annual BhaiVir Singh Flower & Plants Show from 5th-7^th December, 2023 at Guru Granth Sahib Bhawan, GNDU, Amritsar. The event was an open competition for colleges, institutions and individuals that invited participation in different flower and plant categories including Foliage/Ornamental plants, Cacti & Succulents and Bonsai. Post Graduate Department of Botany, Khalsa College Amritsar participated in 9 different sections of these categories and successfully bagged first position in four sections (Asparagus, Palms, Ferns, Display of 8 Foliage plants in any variety) and second position in three sections (Ficus, Bonsai and Any Plant). The results were announced on 7^th December and the Head of the Department, Dr. Balwinder Singh and Maali Major Singh were facilitated with trophies and certificates by Dr. Bikramjeet Singh Bajwa, Dean Academic Affiars, GNDU along with the programme directors. Principal Dr. Mehal Singh congratulated the Department for maintaining an attractive Botanical garden with an array of plant species. He appreciated the efforts of the department team and acknowledged their hard work in making such achievements possible.
