ONE DAY VISIT TO CENTRAL INSTRUMENTATION FACILITY (EMERGING LIFE SCIENCES) GURU NANAK DEV UNIVERSITY ON 15 MARCH 2024

Botanical and Environment Science Society, Khalsa College Amritsar has organized one day visit to Central Instrumentation Facility (Emerging Life Sciences) Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar. Students of M.Sc. Botany Semester II and Semester IV were accompanied by Dr. Madhu and Dr. Sushant Sharma (Co-cordinators). The students visited the central instrumentation facility (Emerging Life Sciences) which includes latest and advanced instruments for research in the areas of allied interdisciplinary sciences. The purpose of the visit was to increase the vision towards research as well as to show different advanced equipments used in the research. The students were demonstrated by the technical officers of the concerned equipments. The students got a chance to get familiarize with various latest and advanced instruments that assisted them in understanding the concepts and fundamentals for their future research programs. During their visit, students came to know about the Principles, Working and handling of sophisticated advance instruments. Students were provided with the detailed demonstrations of Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), Confocal Microscope, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Spectrometer, High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Ultra High Performance Liquid Chromatography (UHPLC), Amino Acid Analyzer, and Flow Cytometer. In the due course of full day visit students got practical exposure and acquaintance with the latest developments in research.
