Nostalgic Moments With Friends and Alumnae During 5th Global Alumni Meet - 2020 At Khalsa College, Amritsar Held On March 5,2020.

4 Proud Alumnae honored on eve of 128th Foundation Day of Khalsa College, Amritsar.

Recalling the old times, the former students of historic Khalsa College today went down the memory lane as they shared the cherished times spent together in the past. They had arrived from all over the globe at the 5th Global Alumni Meet, held here at the heritage campus of the 1892-built College.

The anxious moments of handshakes, hugs and jostling was writ large at the campus since morning as the alumni started arriving in hoards to their alma mater and exchanged pleasantries, remembering the old times when they were students together.
Dedicated to 128th foundation anniversary of the College, the Meet witnessed the alumni, arriving from Europe, US, Singapore, Australia and Canada. They all were welcomed by the management, Principal and staff. They also witnessed a cultural program presented by the students and traditional Jhoomer dance became the main attraction.

Khalsa College Governing Council (KCGC) President, Satyajit Singh Majithia who was the chief guest proudly claimed that alumni of the College is spread across the globe. He said they are proud of their rich alumni and by achieving big in life they were still remembering the College life.

Majithia, accompanied by KCGC honorary secretary, Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina and Principal, Dr. Mehal Singh, honoured the renowned Bollywood actor Mahabir Singh Bhullar, renowned medical practitioner Dr. Amandeep Kaur, famous athlete and Padamshree awardee Gurbachan Singh Randhawa, Dr. Sutantar Kumar Aerry, Managing Director Punseed and Director Agriculture & Farmer Welfare, Punjab.

After receiving the honours, they expressed their love for the alma mater and said whatever they have achieved was due to the education they got from here. They also appreciated the efforts made by Chief Patron of Khalsa College Global Alumni Association RMS Chhina, Principal Dr. Mehal Singh, Member Governing Council and Convenor Global Alumni Dr. Davinder Singh Chhina for making the Alumni Meet so successful.

Earlier, in his welcome address, Chhina, said that the College is proud of its rich resource of the alumni. He said Global Alumni Association will itself be organizing the Meet in the future and March 5 has been fixed for the Alumni Meet which will have the Book fair and other events linked with it in future.
Principal, Dr. Mehal Singh said the motive to organize the meet was to provide an opportunity to the ex-students to come to their old institution and recall the golden times they spent here as students. Dr. Davinder Chhina said they will coax the alumni to help the alma mater through their guidance and expertise to improve the educational standards further in line with global needs.
``The KCA Alumni is spread across the globe and we will streamline them through the international chapters”, said Chhina adding that they will have an international outreach program of these chapters as ex-students across the countries were excited to take part in the meet.

Later, after lunch, interaction session with Alumnae held also. Khalsa College Broche n T Shirts were presented to Distinguished Alumnae also sponsored by S. Bhupinder Singh Holland and Alumnae living in Holland and USA. The Visiting n Honored Alumnae in their addresses hailed Khalsa College as an institution of higher learning and centre of excellence. They also vowed that they would do every bit to help the institution of higher learning achieve more academic and heritage excellence in the coming time and will do their best to strengthen Global Alumni Assocn.

All alumnae whole heartedly appreciated the efforts and co operation extended by S. Dharminder Singh Rataul, Dy Dir. PR to make all events successful.

A special presentation highlighting activities by KCAGAA under aiges of KCGC, Glimpses of Alumni Meet 2014 to 2019, International Academic n Cultural Exchange programmes, Honor of Proud Alumnae by KCA and their activities was also screened after lunch. A memorable picture was also taken in front of historic building of KCA.
