Tech-Era Computer Society of Khalsa College Amritsar organized a quiz competition “Quizotica” on 26^th October, 2023 in P.G. Department of Computer Science and Applications. Dr. Harbhajan Singh, Head, P.G. Department Computer Science and Applications, and Co-coordinator Tech-Era Society, Dr. Mani Arora welcomed Principal Dr. Mehal Singh and the judges Dr. Sawant Singh Monto Assistant Professor English Department and Dr. Rupinder Singh Assistant Professor Computer Science Department. The event started with the welcome speech of Dr. Harbhajan Singh where he said that such an event is a special assessment conducted to check the participants' general knowledge about current affairs and IT which will prepare them for future endeavours. Further, Principal Dr. Mehal Singh mentioned that the learning of the students start at the moment they enter the gate of school/college. He said that the student learns from education given in school/college, second through one to one interaction i.e. quiz competition, and third by travelling. The quiz was conducted in four rounds, 34 students from computer science and other departments participated in this event, first 17 teams went through a preliminary test, out of which four teams were shortlisted to the next round Faster Fingers First, followed by polling and then final round i.e. Buzzer round. Later on, the dignitaries graced the first, second, and third winners with certificates and trophies. Prof. Sukhwinder Kaur and other staff members of Computer Science Department were also present during the Quizotica event.
