P.G. Department of Computer Science and Applications, Khalsa College, Amritsar organized Sports event “SPORTS MEET 2023”

P.G. Department of Computer Science and Applications, Khalsa College, Amritsar organized Sports event “SPORTS MEET 2023” which was a blend of technical, indoor, and ground events from 2^nd November to 3^rd November, 2023. On the First day, technical & indoor games were conducted in Computer Science Department which includes LAN Gaming, Chess, and Badminton. Next day, the events such as 100 meters race, 200 meters race, Relay race, Spoon-Lemon race, Sack race, Long Jump, Shot put, and Tug of war were conducted in the main ground of Khalsa College, Amritsar. The event was inaugurated with the college shabad followed by the welcome speech of Dr. Harbhajan Singh, Head, P.G. Department of Computer Science and Applications. In his speech, he conveyed that the students of Computer Science Department have shown great interest of participation in all the events. Later on, Dr. Harbhajan Singh coordinator and Dr. Mani Arora co-coordinator of Tech-Era Computer Society welcomed the Chief Guest, Principal Dr. Mehal Singh, and the Guest of Honors, Dr. Taminder Bhatia, Dean Academic Affairs and Dr. Daljeet Singh, Head, Department of Physical Education by giving them mementos. Further, the balloon ceremony was performed by all the delegates and staff members of Computer Science Department. Principal Dr. Mehal Singh was of the opinion that mere participation in such events is a win in itself and encouraged the participants. In addition to this, Dr. Harbhajan Singh and all the staff members of Computer Science Department participated in badminton, spoon-lemon race and musical chairs. All the events were judged by the judges from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. The SPORTS MEET 2023 was closed with the prize distribution by Principal Dr. Mehal Singh, Dr. Harbhajan Singh, Prof. Sukhwinder Kaur and Dr. Mani Arora. All the winners were graced with medals followed by giving the best athlete trophy and the overall winner trophy to the best performing class. BCA first semester won the best performing class trophy. After the prize distribution everyone paid tribute with National Anthem.
