Tech-Era Computer Society of Khalsa College Amritsar organized a four days event, IT Talent Hunt 2023 from 18^th October, 2023 to 21^st October, 2023 which includes different events such as Code Mania, Web Nexus, and Poster Making in P.G. Department of Computer Science and Applications. Along with the IT Talent Hunt, a Seminar on Mental Health of Adults was also organized. Principal Dr. Mehal Singh, Dean Academic Affairs, Dr. Taminder Bhatia, Dr. Harbhajan Singh, Head, P.G. Department Computer Science and Applications, Dr. Amit Anand, Head, P.G. Department of Chemistry and Co-coordinator Tech-Era Society, Dr. Mani Arora welcomed Guest of Honor, Dr. Nishtha Gupta Arneja MBBS, MD Psychiatry, Consultant Psychiatrist, Devaki Neuropsychiatry Hospital by giving them a living plant and memento. Principal, Dr. Mehal Singh congratulated the Computer Science Department for conducting such awareness seminar on Mental Health of Adults. Further he mentioned that the purpose of these competitions were to inculcate the skill of computational problem solving, user-interface designing, and develop creativity among students by making posters on IT. Dr. Nishtha Gupta Arneja stressed upon the lack of awareness among adults about well-being of mental health and reluctance towards seeking aid for mental health issues. She guided about various home remedies such as breathing exercises and reverse counting to reduce anxiety and stress. Dr. Harbhajan Singh, Head, P.G. Department of Computer Science motivated the students to participate in such events and seminars so that they can enhance their technical, creative and cognitive skills. Moreover, he added that based on these events the students will be sharpened to get placed in various IT companies. Later on, the dignitaries graced the first, second, and third winners from different events with certificates and prizes. Prof. Sukhwinder Kaur, Dr. Anureet Kaur and other staff members of Computer Science department were also present during the seminar.
