Student Skill Development Program (Intensifying Personal Skills: An Inter-Departmental One-Day Workshop)

The P.G Department of Commerce and Business Administration, Khalsa College Amritsar organized an Inter-departmental One-Day Workshop on Student Skill Development  which was inaugurated by the Principal Dr. Mehal Singh on 12^th September, 2018 in the Seminar Hall of PG Department of Commerce and Business Administration, Khalsa College Amritsar. The basic purpose of this workshop was to train the students regarding placements in the various companies.

The Principal appreciated the efforts of department for this initiative. He opined that practical exposure to the students is the need of the hour and the department is fulfilling its responsibility by providing various such opportunities to the students of different commerce classes. The programme was planned and executed under the supervision of Dr. Mehal Singh (Principal) and Dr. J.S.Arora (Dean & Head, Commerce). Dr. J.S.Arora welcomed the chief guest and introduced the theme of the programme.

The programme comprised of four sessions namely; Interview Preparation, Vocabulary Building, Resume Making and Career Opportunities. The resource persons in these sessions were Ms. Samriti Maheshwari, a certified Soft-skills Trainer with an experience of over 10 years, Mr. Rishabh Arora, an expert in verbal ability and owner of GRE KEY, Mr. Nitin Aggarwal, an expert in resume building from Career Launcher and Mr. Kapil Bhateja, Chartered Accountant and IIM Lucknow alumni, an expert in career counselling from Pune Institute of Management.
