Comm-Fest 2023 organized by Commerce Society of PG Department of Commerce and Business Administration of Khalsa College Amritsar on November 2, 2023

The Commerce Society of PG Department of Commerce and Business Administration of Khalsa College Amritsar organized Comm-Fest on November 2, 2023. The Chief Guest  was  Mr. AshwaniKapoor, IPS, SSP, Tarntaran. He motivated the students  “SAY NO TO DRUGS.” He enthused the  students to study in India, to serve India rather than going abroad and also enthused the students to go for IAS and IPS . He inspired the youth to be honest and dedicated towards your country. Principal Dr .Mehal Singh cherished the efforts of the department for this initiative and addressed participants that such event provides a stimulating environment for all round development of the students and to enhance their cognitive skills . He inspired the students by saying that once you step into any task , then get so involved in it to take it to the heights and in turn, it will take you at the same heights. This Comm-Fest has been planned and executed under the supervision of Dr. Mehal Singh (Principal), Dr. A.K.Kahlon (Head and Dean, Commerce) and Dr. Deepak Devgan (Co-Convenor). Dr. A.K.Kahlon (Convener) broadcasted the achievements, results and placements of the department for the Current Session 2023.  It was highlighted by Dr. Deepak Devgan (Co-Convenor) that the purpose of Comm-Fest 2023is to provide a platform to the students to refurnish themselves in the bright shining colors of Khalsa College and it brought with itself  a constellation of talents , plethora of events and miraculous minds. It was a One-day long celebration of potential talent and skills of the youth wherein enthusiastic youngsters from all over the Punjab came and participated. During this extravaganza, several festivities organized that displayed creeping hysterical and unprecedented vigor. It witnessed a footfall of participation of more than 200 students from the almost 11 different schools of District Amritsar and Tarntaran. In this mega event, the various activities for the schools and college  like Ad-Mad Show, Declamation and Extempore, Commerce Quiz, Solo Dance, Group Dance, Photography, PPT Competition on “Plan Your Business and Business Your Plan, Painting and Poster Making, Rangoli, were performed.  Delhi Public School was the overall winner  of this festival and received its Overall Champion Trophy, D.A.V International School won First Runner Up Trophy and Shri Guru Harkrishan Public School, G.T.Road Amritsar received Second Runner Up Trophy. The members of Commerce Society Dr. ReemaSachdeva, Dr. ManishaBehal, Prof. Puja Puri, Prof. Radhika performed persistent efforts for the success of the event. The events of Comm-Fest were judged by Dr. A.K.Kahlon, Dr. Sawrajkaur, Dr. Ajay Sehgal, Dr. Rachhpalsingh Dr. kamaljitkaur, Dr. Saveeta, Dr. GeetinderMaan, Prof. Daljeet Singh, Prof. ParneetDhillon, Prof. Gurpreetsingh, Ms. AnudeepKaurLehal, Prof, MehtabKaur, Prof. JagdeepKaur.

The prizes were distributed to the college winners at the end. Dr. Deepak Devgan presented vote of thanks. Dr. Taminder Singh Bhatia (Dean) and Dr. Devender Singh (Registrar), Dr. Jagwinder Ghuman (Head, Economics), Dr, Amit Anand were the guests of this event.  Dr. Poonam Sharma, Dr. Nidhi Sabharwal, Prof. Meenu Chopra, Dr. Sakshi Sharma, Dr. Samiya, Prof. Sukhjinder Kaur, Dr. Amarbir Singh Bhalla,  Prof. Amanjot Kaur, Dr. Mandeep Kaur, Prof. Suruchi, Dr. Aanchal Arora, Prof. Tushar Batra, Prof. Sheetal Gupta, Dr. Harpreet Kaur and Prof. Shivali were present on this occassion.  This event proved a grand success of the department The office bearers of Commerce Society Naman Davesar (President), Amritpal Singh (Finance Seceretary), Prabhjot Singh (Seceretary) worked tirelessly for the success of the event.
