The Post-Graduate Department of Commerce and Business Administration, Khalsa College, Amritsar organised the valedictory function of “Certificate Programme on Banking, Finance and Insurance Sector (CPBFI)” in collaboration with Bajaj Finserv Ltd on 3 Sept, 2024. This programme was a part and parcel of MoU signed between Khalsa College Amritsar and Bajaj Finserv Ltd. to impart practical training and essential skills to the students with a view to create employment opportunities for them in Banking, Finance and Insurance Sector. The Second batch of CPBFI programme was launched on 11 June, 2024. The programme was planned and executed under the supervision of Dr. Mehal Singh (Principal and Programme Chairman), Dr. A. K Kahlon (Dean and Programme Director). and Dr. Ajay Sehgal { Programme Co-ordinator).
Dr. Mehal Singh during his address to participants highlighted the significance of practical knowledge along with theoretical aspects of finance for professional development of the students. He further added that being a commerce student, one should.be capable enough to file Income Tax Return oneself.
Dr. A. K Kahlon, highlighted the benefits of the programme for students like developing right attitude, domain knowledge and communication skills to enhance their employability.
Dr. Kanwaljit Singh, Lead Trainer, CPBFI applauded the engaging behaviour of the students toward the course. He congratulated the students for successfully completing the course and the star performers. He emphasized that the participants were very dedicated and quick learners. He felicitated the organising team and the students of Khalsa College for successful completion of the program. The professional trainers deputed for this programme. Mr. Bhupinder Jindal for banking, Mr. Ashwani Puri for Insurance and Ms. Gurmeet Kaur Dhaliwal for communication & workplace skills, Ms. Sanjana Tikkekar for Managing Self (Swaroop), the official trainers, Bajaj Finserv Ltd. were the resource persons in the programme.
Dr. Ajay Sehgal presented the Progress Report of the Second batch of CPBFI programme He threw light upon the activities performed by the students during the programme and appreciated students for their active participation. He announced that 43 students successfully completed this course out of which 34 students were awarded as Star Performer. The students coordinator Danishbir Singh and Tanu Sharma of the programme were awarded Letter of Appreciation by Bajaj Finserv Ltd. Dr. Nidhi Sabharwal (Assistant Professor & Assistant Programme Coordinator) handled the stage. Dr. Ajay Sehgal delivered the vote of thanks to Bajaj Finserv, Dr. Mehal Singh (Principal), Dr. A K Kahlon, Dr. Kanwaljit Singh for the success of this programme.
