AMRITSAR: Khalsa College’s player Anshu who is a student of BA final year has been selected for the Asia Cup in Archery following the successful stint in the rigorous selection process recently. The Asian event will be held in China, Taipei and Philippines in three stages in September this year, said College Principal Dr. Mehal Singh.
Anshu a promising archer have to her name various state, inter-university and national level titles to her name and recently attended the national camp at Rohtak in Haryana from June 15 to June 21, following which her name was cleared for the international sports event. She will leave India on July 30 under the coach Rachhpal Singh, said College’s Sports In charge Dr. Daljit Singh.
``It is a proud moment for the College and state that she is representing India in the Asian Cup”, said Dr. Mehal Singh as he felicitated her in his office today. He said the College has strengthened the sports infrastructure in the past new years.
