PG Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Khalsa College Amritsar organized a one day guest lecture on the occasion of World Photography day .Mr Lovedeep Sohal, renowned Music Video Director was the Chief Guest on this occasion.

PG Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Khalsa College Amritsar organized a one day guest lecture on the occasion of World Photography day .Mr Lovedeep Sohal, renowned Music Video Director was the Chief Guest on this occasion. Speaking on this event Principal Dr Mehal Singh said that the aim of this event was to help amateurs students to learn the technicalities involved in the field of photography. Dr. Mehal Singh also added that such celebrations will simply inspire many budding artists and amateur photographers from the world to disseminate their idea of simple picture, and will inspire multiple minds to think differently.

During the event Dr Sania Marwaha Incharge of the department said that the main aim of the celebrating this World Photography Day was to familiarize the students with the growing importance of photography and to give them practical exposure about digital journalism. While addressing the lecture Mr Lovedeep Sohal told the students that photography first starts as a hobby which later becomes such a strong passion that one cannot even think of joining any other profession. He said that Photography is really the art of capturing the right emotions at the right time. Dr. Sawant Singh Manto, Prof. Saundreya Kochar, Prof. Hari Singh, Prof Surbhi Sharma , Prof. Jaskirat, Prof Bhawini and Prof. Harjeet Singh were also present at the occasion.
