Naad Amrit Music Society of Post Graduate Department Music, Khalsa College Amritsar organized a musical program 'Mehfil-e-Agaaz', in which musical genres such as Songs, Ghazals and Folk songs were presented by the students.
At the beginning of the event, according to the tradition of the College, The Chief Guest Respected Principal Dr. Mahal Singh was honored by the Head of Music Department. After welcoming the chief guest and other guests, HOD Dr. Atam Singh Randhawa said that the management and principal of Khalsa College have always encouraged Punjabi language, literature and cultural programs. After this, the principal Dr. Mahal Singh said in his speech that Khalsa College has always promoted Punjabi Culture and Music. The college has produced hundreds of renowned artists. He blessed the students with his precious words and encouraged them. During this program, Honorable Dean Academic Dr. Taminder Singh Bhatia, Registrar Dr. Davinder Singh, Dr. M. S. Batra, Dean Arts and Humanities Prof. Jaspreet Kaur expressed their views and congratulated the music department for taking this task in the interest of the students. Preparation of the stage performance of the students under the able guidance of our department Prof. Dr. Mandeep Singh and the students presented their performances in a good and smooth manner, which made the atmosphere of the department lively, while appreciating the program. The head of the department Dr. Atam Singh Randhawa encouraged the students to work harder and continue to do similar programs in the future. He said that music is an art that plays an important role in the multi-faceted development of students and students who are involved in the subject of music becoming more sensitive and intuitive. At the end of the program, the Convener of Naad Amrit Music Society Dr. Aman Kaur thanked the guests and students. Prof-in-charge of the music department Prof. Navjot Kaur was presented there during the entire event.
