The Dunnicliff Chemical Society, Post Graduate Department of Chemistry, Khalsa College, Amritsar organized Declamation contest on 21-09-2022 (Wednesday)

The Dunnicliff Chemical Society, Post Graduate Department of Chemistry, Khalsa College, Amritsar organized Declamation contest under the co-ordination of Dr. Punita Tiwari and Dr. Gurpreet Singh.

The topics for the declamation were

1.         Depression is overloaded and we all have to deal with it.

2.         The world needs younger politicians not 70-year –olds

3.         Learning from your mistakes

4.         Do cell phones affect our brains?

5.         Simple ways to overcome stress.

For the science students of the Sem-I on 21-09-2022. Number of students participated in the event and gave their views on various above topics. The time given to students for sharing their viewpoints on the above said topics was 3 Minutes. Dr. Kuljit Kaur and Dr. Sukhmeet Kaur judged the contest on the basis of mastery of piece, content delivery, Expressions of the student and the overall performance of the student.. All the participants justified their chosen topic very well. First three positions were

Ist Position:  Manvi Sharma (B.Sc. Medical Ist Sem.)

2nd Position: Shoaibuddin  (B.Sc. Non-Medical Ist Sem.)

3rd Position: Arpan (B.Sc. Non-Medical Ist Sem.)

All the faculty members of chemistry department were present during the event. The Head of the Department Dr. B.K Randhawa distributed the prizes to the winners of the declamation contests and congratulated all the participants. In her interaction with audience she discussed various ways to relieve from stress. She also advised the students to learn from the mistakes done in past and move ahead. Overall the event was a great success.
