Visit to Department of Chemistry, GNDU by MSc Students of Post Graduate Department of Chemistry, Khalsa College Amritsar

On 10th February, 2023, MSc students of Post Graduate Department of Chemistry, Khalsa College Amritsar, along with faculty members Dr. Seema Rani and Dr. Punita Tiwari, visited the Department of Chemistry, Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), to attend a seminar on Synlett and Science of Synthesis orientation and common pitfalls in scientific writing. The seminar was conducted by Dr. Rohit Bhatia, Acquisitions Editor, Thieme Chemistry.

During the seminar, Dr. Bhatia discussed the latest advancements in Synlett and Science of Synthesis, and also highlighted the common pitfalls in scientific writing. The students gained valuable insights on how to write scientific articles and avoid the common mistakes made in scientific writing.

The students also got the opportunity to interact with the faculty members of the Department of Chemistry, GNDU, and visited their research labs. They were introduced to the ongoing research projects in the department, and the faculty members provided them with guidance on their research interests.

The visit to the Department of Chemistry, GNDU, proved to be a great learning experience for the students. It not only enhanced their knowledge about the latest advancements in Synlett and Science of Synthesis but also gave them exposure to the research activities carried out in a reputed institution like GNDU.

Overall, the visit was a great success, and the students expressed their gratitude towards the Department of Chemistry, GNDU, for providing them with this opportunity to learn and interact with the experts in the field.
