On February 14, 2023, Dr Navneet Sahota, PhD from Indiana University, USA, delivered a lecture on "Career Opportunities for Chemists in USA and the Process Involved in Getting into Top US Universities" at the Smart Room of the Department of Chemistry, Khalsa College Amritsar. The lecture was organized by the Dunnicliff Chemical Society, Department of Chemistry, and started at 10:00 AM.

The lecture was attended by a large number of students and faculty members who were interested in exploring career opportunities in the field of chemistry in the USA. Dr Sahota shared valuable insights and information about the various career paths that are available to chemists in the USA, including research and development, quality control, manufacturing, and academic positions.

Dr Sahota also explained the process involved in getting into top US universities for chemistry and highlighted the prospects involved in pursuing a career in this field. She shared her own experiences and provided tips on how students can enhance their chances of getting admitted to top US universities.

The lecture was well received by the audience, and a question and answer session was also held at the end, where students and faculty members had the opportunity to interact with Dr Sahota and clarify their doubts.

Kirandeep Kaur, who addressed the gathering, appreciated Dr Sahota for sharing her expertise and thanked her for delivering an informative and engaging lecture. Dr BK Randhwa, Head of Department of Chemistry, also welcomed Dr Sahota and expressed his gratitude for her visit.

Dr Amit Anand, Associate Professor, thanked Dr Sahota at the end of the lecture for sharing her insights and inspiring the students to pursue a career in chemistry. The lecture was a great learning opportunity for the students and faculty members and provided them with valuable information about the prospects of a career in chemistry in the USA.
