The PG Department of Chemistry, Khalsa College Amritsar, organized a one-day ChemFest, an Inter college Competition on 22nd February 2023.

The PG Department of Chemistry, Khalsa College Amritsar, organized a one-day ChemFest, an Inter college Competition on 22^nd February 2023. The event involved various inter-college competitions for students viz. quiz competition, slogan writing, scientific rangoli making and poster display. This event had a special attraction of Chemistry magic show. Thirteen 13 colleges from across the district participated in the event with more than 60 students in 15 teams participated in this event. The competitions provided a great platform for graduate students from different colleges to showcase their talent and knowledge in the field of Chemistry.

The event   began   with   the recitation of college shabad by M.Sc. Chemistry students. Dr.Kirandeep Kaur extended a warm welcome to all the guests, faculty and participants. This was followed by a welcome address was given by Dr. B. K.Randhawa, HOD of the Department of Chemistry, formally welcome the chief guest, Dr.Taminder Singh Bhatia, Dean Academic Affairs of Khalsa College and other faculty members and students from different colleges of Punjab.

The event started with a lecture on career opportunities in Chemistry by Dr.Amit Anand, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, Khalsa College Amritsar. The lecture provided valuable insights into various career opportunities available in the field of Chemistry and was well-received by the students.

The Valedictory function was held at the end of the event, where the winners of the competitions were awarded trophies and certificates by Dr.Mehal Singh, Principal, Khalsa College Amritsar. Dr.Hardeep Kaur gave concluding remarks, expressing her satisfaction with the success of the event and congratulating the winners.

Overall, the one Day Chem Fest 2023 was a resounding success, providing a great platform for students to showcase their skills and awareness in the field of Chemistry.

Batra, Dr. Kultar Singh, Dr.Seema, Dr.Navalpreet Kaur, Dr.Kuljit Kaur, Dr.Sukhmeet kaur, Dr.Jasneet Kaur, Dr.Aabroo Mahal, Dr Gurpreet Singh, Dr Harpreet Singh, Dr HarpreetKaur, Dr OmishSethi, Dr KulwinderKaur, Dr Lovepreet Singh and faculty members of other departments and colleges were also present.
