The Dunnicliff Chemical Society of the PG Department of Chemistry at Khalsa College, Amritsar, organized an educational visit to Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) in Amritsar on 20-10-23. The visit was arranged for the M.Sc. students and was led by Dr. Navalpreet Kaur, Dr. Kirandeep Kaur, and Dr. Seema Rani.
The primary objective of this tour was to familiarize our students with the advanced instrument facilities and learning resources available at GNDU. It aimed to expose our M.Sc. Chemistry students to the state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and instrumentation present at GNDU. During visit, students explored various instruments such as NMR spectroscopy, Mass spectrometry, Scanning Electron Microscopy, and Confocal Microscopy. The visit was an eye-opener for the students, who were captivated by the advanced facilities and equipment at GNDU. This educational visit provided the students with an opportunity to stay updated on the latest developments in the field of chemistry and gain insight into the ongoing research activities at GNDU.
During the visit, the students were given a guided tour of the laboratories and research facilities. They were introduced to various scientific research methods and experiments. The students also had the opportunity to interact with the faculty members and technicians, who inspired the students to consider further studies and research in Chemistry.
The visit was both informative and educational, providing the students with a unique opportunity to witness the practical application of the theoretical concepts they had learned in the classroom.
