Faculty Development Programme

(December 22-29, 2017)

The Internal  Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organised a  Faculty Development Programme (FDP) under UGC-CPE grant during December 22-29, 2017. More than 60 teachers from Khalsa College Amritsar and other colleges participated in the programme. The programme was inaugurated by Principal Dr.Mehal Singh who welcomed the participants and deliberated upon the importance of such programmes. The resource persons included Prof.Raminder Kaur, Head, School of Punjabi Studies, GNDU, Amritsar, Prof. P.S. Judge, Dept. of Sociology, GNDU, Amritsar, Prof. S.S. Dhillon, Former Registrar, GNDU, Amritsar, Prof.Jagroop Singh, Head, Dept. of Political Science, GNDU, Amritsa, Prof. H.S. Bhatia, School of Punjabi Studies, GNDU, Amritsar, S. Tejinder Singh, RM, State Bank of India, Jalandhar , Dr.Inderjit Singh Gogoani, Principal, KCSS School, Amritsar and Mr. Sitanshu, BAFL, Amritsar.  The resource persons spoke on various issues and challenges faced by the society. All of them were united in lauding the role the teachers play to make the students a better human being and the society a better place to live. The valedictory session was chaired by Principal Dr.Mehal Singh. He emphasised upon organising such programmes more frequently so that the teachers remain in touch with the latest developments in their respective fields. The certificates were presented to the teachers. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr.Taminder Singh, Co-ordinator, IQAC.
