Khalsa College Amritsar (Autononous ) has been sanctioned grant of Rs. 68 lacs. by Department of Science & Technology, Government of India under FIST – 2019 programme. 253 colleges from all over India had applied for the scheme and only 18 colleges, Khalsa College Amritsar, being one of them, were recommended by DST based on the recommendations of FIST Advisory Board (FISTAB). Principal Dr. Mehal Singh along with Dr. Taminder Singh Bhatia, Director, IQAC, Dr. Amit Anand, Co-ordinator and Dr. Ajay Sehgal, Deputy Co-ordinator, CPE made presentation regarding FIST Programme at Benaras Hindu University, Varanasi in September 2019. The Principal informed that it is a matter of pride that Khalsa College has been sanctioned the maximum amount. He also added that the amount will be utilized in the procurement of equipment, software and setting of Computer Laboratories in Science departments.
