Investor Awareness Program organised at khalsa college in association with Securities amd Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI)

The P.G Department of Commerce and Business Administration, Khalsa College Amritsar organized an Investor Awareness program in association with Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) which was inaugurated by Mr. Nagendraa Parakh, Exceutive Director, SEBI with keynote address on 29 th September, 2018 in the Seminar Hall of PG Department of Commerce and Business Administration, Khalsa College Amritsar. The basic purpose of this program was to train the minds of the audience regarding investment in the mutual funds. The Principal appreciated the efforts of department for this initiative. He opined that investing in mutual funds is extremely beneficial for everyone in today’s scenario but basic requirement is to understand and make yourself full aware about the fundamentals of investment.The programme was planned and executed under the supervision of Dr. Mehal Singh (Principal) and Dr. J.S.Arora (Dean & Head, Commerce). Dr. J.S.Arora welcomed the chief guest and introduced the theme of the programme. The session was conducted by Mr. Balkrishana Kinny, Dy. Chief Executive, AMFI and Mr. G.B. Singh, Regional Director, SBI Mutual Funds. Mr. Sunil Kadam, Regional
Director, SEBI provided vital information about the functioning of SEBI.
