Two Day Book Exhibition at Khalsa College Amritsar ended in Exaltation

• 20 National Publisher Concerned with Subjects Participated.
• Books worth of 10 Lacs sold in two days.

A two day, UGC sponsored, book exhibition was held at historical Khalsa College Amritsar on November 13, 2017. Twenty Publishers related to different subjects participated in this exhibition. It remained open from 9 AM to 5 PM on 13 and 14 November. The Exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. Mehal Singh, the Principal. In his address, he said that books play significant role in making good human beings and society. In the age of Ultra technology, though different other sources of information and knowledge have come into existence, yet they cannot replace books. Books are authentic source of knowledge whereas knowledge available on internet and other sources may not be reliable.

S. Sukhdev Singh, the college Librarian informed that due to students enthusiasm books worth of ten lacs were sold. More than 50 thousands books were brought to this exhibition by 20 reputed publication houses of India which Include, Pargati Publication, New Age International, Tata Macgraw Hill, Pearson Education, Wiley India, Orient Blackswan, Chand Publication, Sage Publishers Himalya Publication, Ane Books Pvt. Ltd., Global Books Distributor, General Books Store from Delhi, Chetna Parkashan, Kalyani Publication From Ludhiana , and from Amritsar Singh Brothers, National Books Distributor, Ahuja Books Depot and Ravi Sahit Parkashan. S. Sukhdev Singh expressed his gratitude to everyone for the keen interest.
