The Red Ribbon Club of historic Khalsa College of Amritsar was honored and felicitated for its well functioningand contribution to make people aware toeradicate AIDS, by the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO), on the occasion of world Aids Day. Dr. Bhupinder Singh Jolly, the Nodal Officer Red Ribbon Club of Khalsa College Amritsar was awardedby Dr. Harshvardan, Union Health and Family Welfare Ministerat Kidarnath Sahni Auditorium, New Delhi. Dr.Arun Kumar Panda, Secretary (MSME) & Secretary (In-Charge), Health & Family Welfare, Sh. Sanjeeva Kumar, Special Secretary (NACO), Sh. Alok Saxena, Joint Secretary (NACO), Dr. Bilali Camara, the Country Coordinator, UNAIDS, Dr. Henk Bekadam, WHO Representative (India) and more than 1200 Members of partners and various CSO's of NGOs, BSF and CISF graced the event with their presence.

Heinformed that Red Ribbon Club of Khalsa College has been selected out of 12000 units of Red Ribbon Club across the Nation for this awardwhich has brought laurels to the college. Dr. Bhupinder Singh apprised that Red Ribbon Club of the College is firmly working to contribute at the call of HonorablePrime Minister Shri Narendra Modito eradicate AIDS by 2030.
